Chania is a wonderful port town that is a popular destination for shopping and sightseeing. It is only 30 minutes drive from our villas and has a beautiful Venetian harbor with an old town full of history. It is also an ideal starting point for hiking and for excursions and for acquaintance with the rich fauna and flora of island and the innumerable historical and prehistoric monuments. You can enjoy walking, trekking, bicycling, horse riding, go-carting and climbing. There are many walks along mountain paths and gorges including the world famous Samaria Gorge. Most water sports are also available in Kalyves and Almirida beaches, 5km away from Maheri, such as windsurfing, diving, snorkeling, sailing, jet skiing and fishing.

This villa was beautiful! It was quiet and had a beautiful view and all the amenities we needed. Katerina made sure we had everything we needed - even directions from Chania airport (if you stay here and rent a car, make sure to follow her directions and not your GPS!). There are a few villages within 5-10 minutes where you can get a bite to eat or get other provisions. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend!

Even when it is cool, the fireplace makes the house comfortable. It is fun to use the jacuzzi. The house is situated in a small village in the foothills, but the mainroad is easely accessible. Katerina is a very careing host

Perfect, quite location, away from 'touristy places' however not far from them if needed :) It's not a far drive to Chania and Rethymno old towns, 35min & 45min respectively. However if you wish to spend the whole day at the villa, there are two terraces to get some lovely tan and the jacuzzi will not disappoint you, it's bigger than expected. Also there are few tavernas and mini markets in a nearby village Armenoi. The only advice, car is needed there. I would definitely recommend this place and more than definitely I would get back there in the future.
