Villa Candice is located in the fortified village of Maroulas, overlooking the broader rural area of Rethymno, a village where you can still see majestic traces of the Venetian noblemen. Not far and of rare beauty, Myloi gorge is a stunning real botanic garden hosting a deserted village. The nearest beach is only 5km away, stretched for 12km from Rethymno to Scaleta. The coastline of the area hosts seaside bars, restaurants and supermarkets. If you are a beach lover the exotic Preveli beach and the beautiful seaside settlement of Plakias are located in the south coast of the prefecture, 45 minutes by car.

My wife and I stayed at Villa Candice for a few days in Sept. From the moment we arrived our stay was noting but perfect. Christian, the owner could not have been friendlier or more helpful. He personally took us to a Greek festival our 1st night there. His company and knowledge made our visit that much more insightful. As to the villa itself, WOW! what a great job in restoring the building. Everything about it was great. Thanks Christian.

Everything was perfect during our second stay in Villa Candice. All was clean, the view was wonderful, the spaces were comfortable and the host was 100% ready to help us for what we wanted.We had no problems with insects, but anyway if you know that usually mosquitos bite you, is better to use an antimosquito product if you go out in the evening. A wonderful home for ideal holidays near nature and at the same time quite close to the city of Rethymnon. Thank you very much Christian! We will come again next year with family and friends!

This villa has beautiful views and is quite spacious. The cleaning staff was wonderful and the personal chef we hired, a recommendation from the villa owner, was just great, preparing wonderful meals several nights. However every morning we found new bugs crawling on our bedroom floor. Four cats lingered by the entrance door each day, attempting to gain entry and after a few days, several of us realized the bites we were getting were flee bites, inside the house and outside on the covered lounge area. This place needs an exterminator.
