Phaistos Villas is just a fifty minutes drive from Heraklion International Airport "N. Kazantzakis" to the south of Crete, at the outskirts of the picturesque village of Sivas. It is a complex of three stone-built villas, each given a name from Greek mythology: the Muse Erato and the Nymphs Dafne and Kastalia. The complex, situated at the foot of the village, offers a panoramic view of the Messara valley and the distinctive blue of the south Cretan sea in the distance. This peaceful location can become your springboard for exploring the historical sites and places of unique beauty in the area. You can choose between staying in and relaxing around the pool, hopping off on a few minutes drive to the world famous archaeological site of Phaistos, or enjoying the wonderful golden-sand beaches of Matala and Kalamaki. The serenity of the environment, the dry and healthy climate of the area as well as the local food specialities guarantee an unforgettable stay. The complex was constructed using authentic materials by local craftsmen following the traditional architecture of rural Crete in order to perfectly blend in with the environment and be an integral part of the settlement. The three villas were built in different levels offering independency, privacy and uninterrupted views of the surroundings. A lovely 40m2 pool of 1,5m depth situated in the center of the complex, can be enjoyed by guests of all three villas. Each villa was designed with care to offer its guests every possible modern amenity. The villas can be rented individually or can be booked together to accommodate bigger parties. Villa Dafne, which is situated at the highest level of the complex, can sleep up to four people. It is stone-built and spreads over two levels. The top level has two stylish, high beam-ceilinged bedrooms and a large modern bathroom with shower facility. The muted colours add to the light, airy and relaxed atmosphere. On the ground floor there is a fully equipped open planned kitchen with stylish and relaxing dining and sitting area.

The historic village of some 400 inhabitants, mostly farmers, is 62km away from Heraklion and is built on the western slope of Asterousia mountain at an altitude of 110m looking over the valley of Messara and the beautiful blue of the south Crete sea. The location of the village is ideal for exploring the world famous sites of the area like the ancient palace of Phaistos as well as other places of interest like the archaeological sites of Gortyna and Agia Triada, the Greek monastery "Moni Odigitrias" and of course the beautiful beaches of Matala, Komos, Kalamaki, Kaloi Limenes, Agiofarago, Lentas, Agia Galini and Preveli.

Es war unser erster Kreta Urlaub und heute bin ich mir sicher, dass wir alles richtig gemacht hatten. Wahnsinn! Diese Anlage ist von den Vermietern auf allerhöchstem Niveau gebaut worden. Es hat unsere Erwartungen, basierend auf den Bildern die ins Netz gestellt wurden, bei weitem übertroffen. Bei der Ankunft wurden wir von Heike herzlichst empfangen. Sie ist und war immer erreichbar, wenn irgendwelche Hilfe während des Aufenthalts benötigt wurde. Im Riesenkühlschrank wurden wir mit reichlich Wasser, einer Flasche Wein und einer großen Obstschale überrascht. Das ganze Haus verfügt über eine Top - Ausstattung einschließlich Moskitonetze an den Fenster und Türen.(wurde nirgends erwähnt, sowie die zwei beschatteten Stellplätze am Haus ) Tanja und der Hausmeister hielten die Anlage immer top in Schuss vor allem den Pool. Danke! Sivas ist in meinen Augen im Süden von Kreta der beste Aufenthaltsort. Kurze Wege in den Ort, super Lokale, einen Metzger, zwei Tante Emma Läden, wo man alles bekommt. Ohne Mietwagen geht’s natürlich fast nicht um an die wunderschönen Strände von Komos, Matala, Kali Limenes und viele andere zu kommen.
