An old winery, established in 1879, has been transformed into a 5 houses complex with enchanting views to the tranquil blue of the Aegean Sea. ''Afoura'' is the name that Santorini give to the biggest barrel of a winery. Afoura Houses offers its guest a genuine Santorini living experience away from the hustle of Caldera. The authentic character of the traditional architecture and living in Santorini remained unspoiled, where carefully selected cutlery, furnishing and the decor reflect the sophisticated charm of the house and the authentic spirit of Santorini living.The houses can accommodate from 2 to 8 guests each and are available for rent individually or as whole. This is an ideal accommodation choice for guests seeking a private stay, for large groups or wedding participants who will enjoy the authentic island experience in the east side of Santorini. Afoura Houses in the village of Exo Gonia is conveniently located close to the airport, the island's capital Fira, the village of Pyrgos as well as the vibrant beach of Kamari. Lino House is the biggest of the Afoura Houses complex as it accommodates up to 8 guests and can become even bigger as it connects with the pori House if necessary.The house besides the 2 bedrooms and bathrooms features a fully equipped kitchen plus indoor and outdoor dining areas. Lino tooks it's name from it's function when Afoura was a winery. You can see the place where the grapes used to be processed before being storage.

The Afoura Houses and property are simply enchanting! It has a charm that encompasses you, causing your body to relax in its warmth, rejuvenate in its peace and awakens your senses to the beauty surrounding you! The houses themselves are each unique, as amazing as their photos are, they don’t come close to capturing the houses unique charm. Each house is filled with unusual, almost museum quality décor that lends an extra layer of intrigue to the Afoura Houses.

We were in Santorini for 5 day in July 2018. It was my family, my sister’s family and my parents. We rented the main section of the house. Not only the place was very clean, but we also had daily cleaning services. Very well located close to the airport. Close to Fira and well centralized to be able to go anywhere on the island. The highlight however was the personalized and extremely helpful service we got from Joanna. She greeted us on our arrival at the house, but also booked a pickup service from the airport. So we didn’t have to hassle to find taxis, and trouble with luggages... as we were a large group.

For those who are looking for a authentic and stylefull accommodation. Away from the typical white vacation villa's. The host is wonderful, With her passion for ancient Greek and history she can tell you everything about the island. The pictures are 100% real.
